KKS Lech Poznań boss Franciszek Smuda has calmed down supporters after denying the rumors of Lech stars supposedly departing in the summer transfer window.

Squad improvement
Lech Poznan's star players have recently stated in the Polish press about their intentions of leaving Poland this summer. In response, 'Kolejorz' manager Franciszek Smuda has hit out against these media speculations and assured fans that they will still be able see their favorite players next season at the Bulgarska. "If we are to play in the UEFA Champions League next season we cannot allow to weaken ourselves. Instead we must improve on what we have if we are serious about Europe."

No departure
Lech top defender Manuel Arboleda was also lately rumored to be scouted by Panathinaikos FC scout Krzysztof Warzycha for a summer move after a good UEFA Cup run. The Colombian like his teammates at Lech was quoted by Polish media in revealing his wish for a transfer in the summer. However, according to Smuda it is all just plain media rubbish. "Arboleda leaving? It's interesting that Manuel never previously mentioned this to me. I practically treat him like a son. What it seems to me is that the media like usually blow everything out of proportion from what they really are. In my opinion, Arboleda will stay with Lech." Smuda told Futbolnet.
