NOWY SACZ, Poland. May 16 (PS) — Widzew Lodz blew away Sandecja Nowy Sacz 6-1 on Sunday in the 30th round game of the Unibet I Liga.

This high victory has secured inhabitants from Lodz promotion to the Polish Ekstraklasa.

By the 20th minute, for just over two minutes the match was temporary abandoned due to rioting in the stands.

After the break, the hosts managed to score a goal back. The scorer was Dariusz Gawęcki.

In the remainder of the game, however, only goals fell for Widzew. In the 63rd minute Krzysztof Ostrowski entered on the list of goal scorers, again in the 75th Piotr Grzelczak minute, and in the 85th minuite Przemyslaw Oziębała.

It should be noted that Widzew spent the last two years in the 1. Liga. Although the Lodz club before won the title last season, they were still degraded due to corruption issues.

It was the first defeat this season Sandecji had at home.
