LODZ, Poland. May 15 (PSN) - Marek Saganowski has chosen to not extend this contract with Atromitos Athens FC.
The player declared this after the Greek Cup final. At a meeting with representatives of the club he refused negotiations on the agreement, and will likely return to Poland.
The Pole officially declared that does not intend to negotiate a new contract. Sagan will remain a player of Atromitos until June 30.
Why does Saganowski want to leave the club, and probably also the Greek Super league? In the Cup final with AEK Athens riots involving hooligans took place.
"I'm thinking about returning to Poland. From Greece I bid farewell for one hundred percent. I do not want to be a puppet for big clubs, which must always win. Everything here is set on how powerful the club are," said the Pole after the cup final match.
Saganowski admitted that he is in contact with ŁKS, which will be promoted to the Ekstraklasa next season. But it is possible that the he may also join another club.
The striker has a reputation brand in the market. For six years, he has been playing in foreign teams (Portuguese, French, English, Danish and Greek league), for whom he scored 39 goals.
In the Polish league's balance sheet he looks impressive: 77 goals in 215 matches.
