HANOVER, Germany. Nov 25 — Jacek Krzynowek has decided he is ready to return to the Polish Ekstraklasa after a long career abroad. All that he needs now is an offer.
The former Polish international could not break through to the first team of VfL Wolfsburg and begun searching for a club where he could play regularly. Legia at the time was an option and would have marked his return to Poland.
Evidently, Krzynowek chose to move to Hannover 96 for one more season in Germany where he has now started to ponder whether it is time to finally return to his home country.
"I have played for over 10 years abroad. I do not only look at the financial side anymore. Polish clubs for sure can afford me. The only problem is, if I get an offer at all." says Krzynowek.
"But whatever, let's wait until for the opening of the winter transfer window. Then surely my situation will become clearer."
Krzynowek's club situation in Hannover started out on a positive note last season, but has gone down hill since the beginning of the 2009-2010 Bundesliga season opener. The Pole has yet again lost a spot on the team's starting eleven and is begun to look towards Poland as his answer for regular playing time.
"If I could play regularly, then it would be in Poland, I am sure of it. But of course, there are also negatives when discussing the idea of playing there."
"In Poland, everyone looks at age. I am 33-years-old and for many people that means a player already nearing retirement of their career."
"Right now I don't have any plans for retirement, but on the day I do to retire I want it to be in Poland."
