KRAKOW, Poland. July 20 (PS) — Maciej Zurawski has come back to Wisla Krakow after five years playing abroad.

The 34-year-old is now in Krakow to help the team in regaining the Polish championship and advancing to group stages of the UEFA Europa League. 'Zuraw' admits he had plenty of offers, but chose to instead return to Wisla - as he reveals to Super Express.

SE: The Match with FC Siauliai was your first in the colors of Wisla after five years away. Was there any nervousness?
Zurawski: Not at all. I am 34, I know what to do on the pitch. However, in terms of nervousness there was no question in this match. Most importantly is that we won. If we had to play them earlier,we would have probably beaten them 4-0. But 2-0 is a good result.

In the next round Wisla will play another weak opponent, as everything points to a team from Azerbaijan...
They won the first match away with the Irish 2-1 in Portadown, so surely we will play them. They appear to be weak, just like Siauliai. With promotion to the next round should not be a problem. But the real test awaits us, because in the group phase we will have to play against much stronger teams.

Exactly. This, in addition to winning the Polish Ekstraklasa, it is the main purpose of Wisla Krakow this season...
I was not here for five years, but in this respect nothing has changed. The pressure of winning the  championship is the same as before. Except that this time there are others with the same plan, because they talk about nothing else but this at Lech and Legia too.

Did it take you long to decide to return to Poland?
Not too long. I had offers from the USA and Greece, there I would have had probably earned more than in Poland, but I had no desire to live outside the country anymore. Therefore, it was easier to negotiate with Wisla.
