ZABZRE, Poland. Oct 24 (PSN) — The days of Jacek Zielinski as coach of KKS Lech Poznan may soon be nearing to an end.

Lech Poznan on Sunday lost to Gornik Zabrze 0-2 in the 10th round of the Ekstraklasa.

This is the fourth consecutive league defeat of the Polish champions, who are now with eight points on their account and occupy fourteenth place in the table.

A poor performance against Manchester City on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League was only a signal of things to come. Lech now has gained zero points from another match in the Polish Ekstraklasa, and doubts are arising if Zielinski is the right man to continue with the team.

Supporters who had gathered at the stadium on Roosevelt's had to wait to 44 minutes for a goal. Michal Bemben made a cross into the penalty box of the Kolejorz. Thanks to a great confusion by the Lech defense, Gornik's Marcin Wodecki was able to get a ground shot defeating Jasmin Buric who desperately tried intervening.

If anyone expected the sudden awakening of Lech and the Polish champions to play better in the second half unfortunately was disappointed. The Kolejorz played poorly and were not able to create a favorable attacking situation of any sorts. Gornik then took advantage of the passivity of the guests.

On a long shot decided Wodecki. At first it seemed Buric had no problem with the long shot, but made a mistake allowed the ball past him. It was already clear that Gornik would not lose the match, and Lech would suffer yet another painful defeat.

In the 77th minute, Dimitrije Injac was ejected from the pitch from a red card.

By the end of the match the result has not been changed, and Lech continues it's losing series.

Meanwhile, other Ekstraklasa clubs such as Legia Warsaw FC and Wisla Krakow who were also having poor performances finally took back their form in the 10th round.

Legia defeated vice-leaders Korona Kielce 4:1 away, while Wisla Krakow took care of Lechia Gdansk at home with a 5:2 stomping. If Lech Poznan does not take example of this, they may certainly still find themselves fighting against relegation come next year.
