WARSAW, Poland. Jan 19 (PSN) —  Leo Beenhakker has confirmed that he had a job offer from Polonia Warszawa, but did not agree to it.

The Dutchman also has doubts that he will still ever work in Poland.

When after the release of Jose Mari Bakero occurred, Polonia owner Jozef Wojciechowski quickly started looking for the Spaniard's successor, and turned to the former coach of the Polish national team.

The head of the Black Shirts, reportedly valued him very much.

"There was a possibility, but I'm already 68 years old and I can not imagine I could spend seven days a week on the pitch," Leo affirms in Przegląd Sportowy.

Instead, the Konwiktorską club went for a different coach from the Netherlands - Theo Bos.

In fact, it was Beenhakker who recommended him. Despite some speculation that Leo at the end will lead the Black Shirts. In the summer Wojciechowski may in fact sack Bos, and with Beenhakker leaving his position of athletic director at Feyenoord would replace him. This possibility also rejects the Dutchman.

"I work till the end of the season for Feyenoord, then we'll see. I do not think that there is a possibility to returning to Poland. I will most likely stay in the Netherlands," he explains.
