BELCHATOW, Poland. June 26 (PSN) - Mateusz Cetnarski will from next season be representing the colors of Śląsk Wrocław.

News of the signing was announced first from the president of PGE GKS Bełchatów, Marcin Szymczyk.

"The fans may have mixed feelings about this decision, but as I mentioned at the beginning of my work, we can not afford to pass up players for free, and Mateusz was still only on a year contract. We must constantly balance the budget and look to the future." explains the Bełchatów club president.

"Mateusz did a lot for us, but the time of separation and to continue a career in a different environment must come. This enables us to calmly think about building a team and give a chance to new players," he added.

The transfer of the 23-year old attacking midfielder to the team from Silesia was rumored to happen for a long time. Cetnarski is also very familiar with the current coach of Śląsk, Orest Lenczyk.

It is in fact Lenczyk who brought him to Bełchatów in the first place when he still coached there.

Cetnarski appeared in the colors of GKS in four seasons. During this time he played 83 matches at the Ekstraklasa level, where he scored eight goals.
