WARSAW, Poland. Feb 16 (PSN) - On Thursday, Legia Warsaw FC have signed a contract with the Spanish striker - Nacho Novo.
The player has joined the club from Warsaw on a six-month contract with an option to extend for another season.
The Spaniard began his career at SD Huesca. There, he moved to Scotland, where he gained celebrity status at Rangers FC. There he played 162 league matches and scored 44 goals. In 2008 he advanced to the final of the UEFA Cup. He previously also successfully defended the colors of Dundee United.
In 2010, Novo went to Sporting Gijón. In the current season he appeared in 11 matches in the Primera Divison and scored three goals.
He played in one international game for Galicia and scored two goals against Iran.
After the sale of Maciej Rybus to Terek Grozny FC, Legia were pressured by coach Maciej Skorza to quickly find a replacement.
