WARSAW, Poland. Feb 18 (PSN) - Marcin Komorowski leaves Legia Warsaw FC, and as anticipated signs with Terek Grozny FC.
On Saturday he signed a 2.5-year contract with the Russian Premier League club.
The capital city defender impressed Terek during a scrimmage match in Turkey and the UEFA Europa League match against Sporting only just confirmed to the coaching staff that it was a good buy.
"We needed to strengthen our defense and I'm sure that Marcin is a good buy," said the president Magomed Daudov of Terek.
Komorowski played in the Legion since February 2009, but only by last fall was he able to win a place on the first team, where he stood by side with Michal Żewłakow. Additionally, he was also called-up to the Polish national team.
He is the second Legionista who this winter moves from the Legion to Terek. Previously, the Chechen club became signed Maciej Rybus from Legia. Both players will leave to the east after the second leg against Sporting Lisbon.
