KUFSTIEIN, Austria. June 01 (PS) — Polish international and KKS Lech Poznan striker Robert Lewandowski is rated to be one of Poland's top and most brightest players.
The selekcjoner Franciszek Smuda believes he can reach great heights within his career, especially if he sees the 22-year-old as the Polish version of Dutch legendary footballer - Johan Cruyff!
The same words were quoted on Tuesday as the Polish coach told German newspaper Bild in an interview.
"His style of game reminds me of a young Cruyff. Actually, he is even better than him." said 'Franz.'
In a statement quoted by the German press, the Poland coach also hopes that the issue of transfer for 'Lewy' to Borussia Dortmund is quickly resolved.
"Robert does not want to play anymore in Poznan, he sees himself at Borussia. For me it is a good thing, because I have three internationals in one place." says the coach, although he himself a few weeks ago was of the opinion that the young striker should stay in Poznan for another season.
Of course, this opinion did not last long after speaking with Lewandowski during Poland training camp before Finland - where the Lechite complained about the thought of spending another season in Poland.
BVB has already Jakub Błaszczykowski actively playing, and a few days ago Lukasz Piszczek signed a contract with the club. Lewandowski's proposed transfer with the club is currently stalled.
