WARSAW, Poland. Aug 28 (PS) — Bruno Coutinho Martins, the Brazilian star of Polonia Warszawa, has already played more than two years in the Polish Ekstraklasa.

He feels very well at home in Poland and does not reject the possibility of playing in the colors of the white and red in the near future.

"This subject first appeared last year. They asked me if I had accepted Polish citizenship, if there was any chance if I wanted to play for the Polish national team,"  Bruno said in an interview.

Such a question is usually asked by media to players who greatly single themselves out from the rest on the Ekstraklasa pitches. Some say no, and some like Bruno do not decline such a possibility.

"I admit that in Poland, I feel like at home. I got used to the climate. The People are fantastic. I think that within six months, maybe within a year, I will speak Polish. When it will became clear that I could actually play in the national team, they will surely think about it, talk with my family, but at the moment I do not have a simpler answer." explains the Polonia midfielder.

Bruno has so far played 50 league matches in which he scored a total of 3 goals. However, he has also scored quite a few assists as well. Being one of the best left midfielders in the Polish Ekstraklasa, he plays very well as a central midfielder as well.

The 24-year-old Brazilian only once got a call-up to the youth team of the Canarinhos. In the light of international rules his call-up to the Polish team is possible, of course, f the player chooses to receive citizenship.

He'll have to wait until Smuda is removed as manager for that to happen! Let's also hope that by that time he'll have also become good enough!
