GRODZISK WIELKOPOLSKI, Poland. Sept 1 (PS) — Artur Boruc will start in goal for Poland in the match against Ukraine - announced at a press conference national team coach Franciszek Smuda.
The Polish coach has started to speak very favorably on the form of the ACF Fiorentina goalkeeper which is the prime reason of his decision.
"I am confident that he will win a place in the first team of Fiorentina as he is a very ambitious man. Artur has 30 years of age and throughout his career was number one. It looks worse with the our other keepers. Lukasz Fabianski is still sitting on the bench, if that will last another two or three consecutive years, he might have trouble." the coach added.
Smuda also assured the press that he would not stand for Artur's antics, and has told the goalkeeper he will be dropped permanently if he does not take Smuda's rules to light.
"I have talked to him and I have made it very clear, I do not want any of his funny business under in my kadra. If he so disobey me, he will be punished and I will never call him up again." he stressed.
The national team training camp in Grodzisk Wielkopolski will last until Friday. On Thursday Smuda has planned a workout for the morning.
On Friday, the players will spend time watching and analyzing video of previous matches. In the afternoon the team will travel to Lodz, where on Saturday they will face the Ukraine. Three days later (Sept. 7) in Krakow they will play Australia.

Two words Franz...SEBASTIEN FREY!!
Although we'll see if Boruc has really turned over a new leaf! I still believe that for his horrible antics he should never have been even considered, maybe this is a sign of desperation on Smuda's part!
