SZAMOTULY, Poland. Sept 4 (PS) — The U-20 Polish national team tied 1:1 (0:1) with the U-21 national side of Uzbekistan in a friendly match played in Szamotuły.

This is another consecutive match to highlight the poor form of coach Stefan Majewski's team.

Poland were able to hold off a defeat to the Central Asian team with a goal from Tomasz Holota, who scored in the final minutes with a snap shot in the penalty area pass the Uzbeki goaltender.

"We clearly underestimated them from the get go," said U-20 coach Majewski.

"I am happy that we were able to show a better side of us in the second half after a very disappointing first half. My players showed heart today."

On Monday in Wronki the Poland U-20 will play the U-20 Italian national team.
