KRAKOW, Poland. Sept 6 (PS) — After the match with Ukraine coach Franciszek Smuda praised Poland rookie Sebastian Boenisch for his debut on the national team, along with not disguising his satisfaction with the return of Artur Boruc.

What other players will Polish fans soon see be called-up next for Polish national team?

Aired on the television sports channel nSport, the Polish coach talked down the recent press reports concerning the call-up of 36-year-old striker Tomasz Frankowski.

"He plays very good in the league by using his wits and experience, but to the national team I need players with better physical conditions," said Smuda.

He assured, however, that Frankowski will appear on the training staff team for UEFA EURO 2012 and will help prepare Poland's forwards for the tournament.

Marcin Zewlakow (25 caps) should not be counting for a quick return to the national team, which after returning to the Polish Ekstrakalasa he has scored four goals already in league play.

"A call-up for Marcin is the typical journalistic information. Someone has scored two goals and they should now be on the kadra? No. I have to find out how Martin will continue to play in Ekstraklasa." the coach said.

Franciszek Smuda also referred to the rumors regarding Hernani, the Brazilian defender of Korona Kielce hoping to play for Poland.

"During my stay in Kielce, they told me that Hernani married a Polish woman, is trying for a Polish passport and could play in the kadra. I took the message, but did not say that he will be call-up." adds Smuda, while pointing out Roger Guerreiro cannot count on a call-up for Poland.

Meanwhile, the topic of calling-up the Cagliari Calcio striker with Polish roots Robert Acquafresca is yet to be closed.

"I do not want to beg and kneel on his knees, it must be his decision. I want to go to Italy for the match with Fiorentina and Cagliari, then ask him if he wants to play for Poland."
