FARO, Portugal. Feb 09 (PSN) - The Polish national team in their second game in 2011 have won another match 1-0, this time with Norway.
Robert Lewandowski scored the lone goal for Poland.
The beginning of the match was a quiet game for both sides. In the 16th minute of the game could have gone 1-0 to Norway. After a corner kick to the ball jumped to Wojciech Szczesny, but missed the shot with a Norwegian striker trying to header the ball inward, but successfully rebounded from the failing Polish goalkeeper.
Three minutes later it was 1-0 for Poland. The ball was collected from Robert Lewandowski outside the penalty area, where he made an individual run, finally scoring at the Norwegian goal with a long distance effort.
In the second half Norway presented themselves better. The Poles were confined mainly to the defensive aspect of the game. Several times John Arne Riise menacingly from outside the box took long distance efforts, but either did not hit the goal, or the shots were blocked by Wojciech Szczesny.
The match finally ended up with the Polish national team winning, which achieved their second victory in 2011. On Sunday, the Bialo-czerwoni also won 1-0 with Moldova.
