ATHENS, Greece. Sept 5 (PS) — Roger Guerreiro has finally returned to training with the first team of AEK Athens FC.
On Saturday he played the last 30 minutes in the controlled match with Thrasyvoulos FC.
"I am in good form," quotes gazzetta.gr the words of the former Polish international.
Guerreiro was for a long time outside the first team of the Athens club. This was related to the disease he was diagnosed, among other things. Another issue was when after Guerreiro did not agree to a reduction in salary and was then transferred to the AEK reserves.
Now the Brazilian-Pole is back to playing the beautiful game, and over the next two weeks should be in full service for coach Dušan Bajević.
"I am not far from the optimal form, as I practiced individually throughout the summer. I think that in a week or two weeks I will be in full force. I am glad that I played almost half of the match. Everything is going my way. I believe in God, and it was his will that I have stayed in AEK."
"I am happy with my disposal in the match with Thrasyvoulos FC. In recent months, I did not have too many opportunities to play. Things will be different now." he ends.
Guerreiro wants to remind AEK fans, that once he returns to form, as announced by the AEK training staff, he should be more welcome in the starting lineup in the team from Athens.
