BIALYSTOK, Poland. Aug 13 (PSN) - Grzegorz Sandomierski has decided to leave Jagiellonia Białystok to play abroad.
However, he will not be playing for Scottish outfit Celtic FC, but rather Belgian side Racing Genk, with which he has signed a five-year contract.
Sandomierz is a graduate of the Jagiellonia football school. In the spring of 2007 he was loaned to Lech Poznan, and more specifically to the second team of the Kolejorz. Beginning of 2009 he went on another loan, this time to the Ruch Otwock.
The 20-year-old also has had three caps on the Polish national team.
Sandomierski's new club has the chance to play in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. The last obstacle the Belgians face Israeli side Maccabi Haifa. If Genk win, and Sandomierz will win the number on shirt, it is possible that fans will have another Polish goalkeeper in the UEFA Champions League.
