BIALYSTOK, Poland. July 29 (PS) — All three of the clubs representing Poland and the Polish Ekstraklasa failed to take away any points in the UEFA Europa League Third Qualifying Round on Thursday.

Ruch Chorzow, Wisla Krakow, and REMES Puchar Polski 2010 winners Jagiellonia Bialystok all played their fixtures at home - all finished with 0 points.

Ruch scored the opener in only the 4th minute of the match, with the early goal coming from Michal Pulkowski. The hosts quickly surprised the Austrian side, but the Austrians quickly came back. 3 goals from the visitors was enough to steal 3 points in Chorzow for coach Karl Daxbacher's team.

Poland's vice-champions also failed to impress, suffering a shocking 1-0 defeat at home Azerbaijan club - FK Qarabag! 

Wisla Krakow was able to equalize the score in the final minutes of the game with Maciej Zurawski earning a penalty kick. However, the pressure was too much for the former Polish international to handle with him ultimately missing the shot.

Jagiellonia Bialystok took on Aris Thessaloniki FC in their debut in Europe on Thursday.

Unfortunately, it was not the European cup debut Jagiellonia had planned for with the Polish club losing 2-1 to Aris in Bialystok by Antonio Calvo's brace. Rafal Grzyb scored the host's only goal in the 22nd minute.
